EOLO PHARMA today announced that it has dosed the first subjects in Phase 1 clinical trials of MVD1, designed to prevent and treat obesity and its cardiometabolic complications. “Initiating clinical studies for MVD1, Eolo’s lead compound targeting obesity and its associated cardiometabolic complications, is a significant milestone for the company,” said María Pía Garat, cofounder and CEO of EOLO MVD1-AU-001 (ACTRN12622001519741) is the Phase 1, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, first in human study of the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of single and multiple doses of MVD1 in healthy adult volunteers’ study in up to 24 normal healthy volunteers (NHV) and up to 24 volunteer with over-weight or obesity volunteers. The single ascending dose portion of the study includes 4 sequentially enrolled NHV cohorts with escalating single-dose levels. About EOLO Pharma.
